This highly advanced Challenger II will be the
most advanced aircraft of her time. It is now in the fuselage covering
stage.
All materials are of top quality and beauty is
not all she offers.
The instrument panel to your upper left has all the instruments needed with many safety factors included. The on board switches include separate individual fuses and an emergency back up fuel pump light. This back up pump is not only accessible to the pilot but also to the passenger or BFI who will be in the back seat. The entire panel is made out of top grade aluminum with extreme care put into placement and accessibility. If you will look at the photos to the upper and lower right you will see that the fuel pump is not only a backup to the primary fuel line, but it is a separate line itself. If one line were to get clogged. Instead of pumping the trash on through the carbs. the secondary line would pick up fresh fuel from the other side of the tank keeping this aircraft and your butt in good condition should something ever happen.
If you look at the photo to your upper left you will notice the dual breaks and dual break lines. This top secret innovation will be tested and perfected before we can unleash a detailed photo. We can't tell you too much more about the integrity and other top secret stuff right now, but as the project continues we will try our best to let you know what we can. We do this for the safety of the aircraft and you.
UPDATE: 8-12-01
The brakes work great! They will hold the
aircraft
at full throttle at a dead stop on level ground. The only side effect
found
is a slight jump at high speeds on pavement.
This effect goes away with use and should never happen due to low speed
landings and needles use of brakes on pavement
at high speeds.
